Mission Statement of Ehrensvärdska gymnasiet

At Ehrensvärdska gymnasiet, we believe in lifelong learning fuelled by a natural curiosity and desire to discover in a safe environment where we emphasize respecting the standards and practices of the system.

Every individual is a valued member within our democratic framework, which safeguards equality, gender equality, and respect for the freedom and integrity of the individual and developing them as global citizens. The keywords of our motto are mutual respect, consideration, openness, and well-being.

IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end, the organisation works with schools, governments, and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students worldwide to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

We strive to:

• Attract our students from the Swedish programmes including those with a different mother tongue (~20%) and cultural background.
• Develop partnerships with schools in other countries (we have initiated contact with schools in South Africa).

Our Courses

International Course (PreDP)

PreDP is the first year of upper-secondary school and follows the Swedish Curriculum of the National Science programme (and Swedish curriculum) but all courses are taught in English. These are the courses that make up the PreDP year:
