We are organizing the Nordic World Heritage Conference with the theme Sustainable Development 14-17 september 2026, and we would like to feature inspiring examples from Nordic World Heritage sites.
We invite you to share a short description (maximum 300 words) of one concrete initiative or project from your site that addresses sustainability challenges and demonstrates how it connects to one of UNESCO’s 5Cs:
- Credibility – Strengthening the integrity and recognition of World Heritage
- Conservation – Protecting and managing heritage values
- Capacity-building – Developing skills and knowledge for heritage management
- Communication – Raising awareness and sharing knowledge
- Communities – Engaging and empowering local communities
In your text, please indicate:
- Which of the 5Cs your initiative relates to
- How it contributes to sustainable development
